
Innoviz jumps on huge Volkswagen sensors order

Innoviz will source its new technology, state-of-the-art sensor identified as Innoviz 2 for set up in future products of Audi, Skoda, Seat, and Volkswagen autos.


Israeli lidar car sensors Innoviz Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: INVZ) has claimed that it has signed a strategic settlement with Volkswagen. The business reported that it will provide lidar sensors to Volkswagen’s CARIAD division, which is engaged in procuring, building and installing innovative engineering parts in VW Group’s vehicles.

Innoviz will source its new technology, advanced sensor termed Innoviz 2 for set up in potential types of Audi, Skoda, Seat, and Volkswagen motor vehicles and added brand names in the group. This is Innoviz’s 3rd strategic deal and its first offer was with BMW.

With its third layout win, Innoviz’s forward-seeking buy e book was updated to $6.6 billion.

Innoviz cofounder and CEO Omer Keilaf stated, “We are thrilled to function with the CARIAD workforce and be a provider of LiDAR sensors and perception computer software to support harmless mobility for cars launching from the center of the ten years. CARIAD is a primary participant in the transformation of the full automotive space.”

Innoviz’s share cost is up 20% on Nasdaq at $4.79, offering a market cap of $642.75 million.
